Today Apple finally announce their latest creation. The iPad! Everyone’s been talking about it, all these rumors of how it would look like, what kind of specs were going to be on the “iSlate” or “Apple Tablet” as they were calling it. As well as what sort of functions were going to be on the the device. Steve Jobs made it clear to everyone today that the Apple iPad is a device which is “in between” the iPod Touch and a Mac. If you haven’t watched the keynote yet I highly recommend it because it will definitely answer most of the questions you’re wondering such as does it have a camera like the iPhone? Does it have iWorks? What exactly will this device do for me? You should also watch the iPad video.

I personally think they did a great job on the particular device. It’s something that I don’t really need and therefore won’t be purchasing one any time soon. I need a new Mac more than I need the iPad. I could see myself using an iPad if ever I end of getting one in the future or if I received one as a gift *wink wink, hint hint* LOL. I would use it to play games with multiple users such as checkers (I’m not really great at Chess). Emailing, because I’m always emailing my friends, family, clients, and people from work. Watching movies because I’m always watching movies on my iPhone so the picture would be so crisp on the iPad.

I know there’s mix feeling about the iPad with some people but basically it all comes down to if the iPad is for you or not. That’s it! If you think you’ll make great use out of it then buy one, if you think it’s not what you expected it to be because there wasn’t a camera or if there isn’t flash then don’t get it. There was just so many hype and speculation going around before the iPad came out and everyone should have learned by now that when it comes to Apple, you can’t do that. Look what happened with the iPod Touch 3rd generation. Everyone thought there was going to be a camera installed and did Apple do that? No they did not! Maybe there will be in the future but then I’d be speculating now would I? No one knows for sure what will happen until then.
