Push Notification is a great feature that comes with iPhone firmware 3.0. It’s mainly use for instant messaging application, mail application, other social networking application.
For those that Jailbroken|Unlocked their iPhone find it that their phone, especially with the original iPhone does not work. The same developers, Dev-Team has that brought us a jailbreak for our iPhone and iPod devices has come up with a fix for push notification called PushFix.
However, CrunchGear reported an exploit this past summer that PushFix installed on a jailbroken iPhone may broadcast your AIM messages to random recipients without your knowledge or consent.
I’ve heard this problem is only or majority for jailbroken and unlocked iPhone’s. People with T-Mobile may find this a problem, but those that have jailbroken iPhone’s on AT&T will not. I myself have been using it for couple of months now and have not experience this problem with my jailbroken and unlocked iPhone with T-Mobile.
If you still want to go ahead and us PushFix feel free to read the installation I’ve made.
